Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This online store and retailshopsale.com are run by Retail Shop Sale ("Retail Shop Sale", "we", "us", or "our"). This privacy statement describes the types of personal data we get from US consumers and visitors, how we use it, who we share it with, and your options and rights.

By using this site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Order information — name, shipping address, billing address, email address and phone number.
• Payment information — card details are entered directly into our PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. We receive only a token, the card brand and the last four digits.
• Account information — if you create an account, your password is stored only as a salted hash.
• Communications — the content of emails, chat messages, product reviews and support calls.
• Marketing preferences — the email address you give us when subscribing to our newsletter.

Information collected automatically

• Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps.
• Cookies and local storage — including the cart contents stored in your own browser so your basket survives a page refresh.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Process, fulfill, ship and invoice your orders;
• Send transactional messages such as order confirmations, shipping notifications and return updates;
• Provide customer support and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims;
• Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
• Comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations under US federal and state law;
• Send marketing emails where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time; and
• Measure and improve the performance of our website and product range.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage keys:

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information where applicable law requires it.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who need it to run the store, and only for that purpose:

• Payment processors — to authorize and settle transactions;
• Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) — to deliver your order;
• Email and SMS platforms — to send transactional and opted-in marketing messages;
• Fraud prevention and analytics vendors — under contract and confidentiality obligations;
• Professional advisors — accountants, auditors and lawyers where reasonably required;
• Authorities — where we are legally compelled by subpoena, court order or applicable law; and
• A successor entity — in the event of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep order records for seven years to satisfy US tax and accounting requirements. Support correspondence is kept for three years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression period so we do not accidentally email you again. Cart data stored in your browser stays there until you clear it or complete an order.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
• Request correction of inaccurate information;
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention duties;
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising;
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
• Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may exercise the rights above twice in any 12-month period, free of charge. We will verify your identity by matching the email address and order details on file. An authorized agent may submit a request with written permission.

Other state laws

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, North Carolina, Oregon and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes have comparable rights, including the right to appeal a refused request. To appeal, reply to our decision email with the word "Appeal".

To exercise any right, email support@retailshopsale.com. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by a further 45 days where permitted.

8. Data security

All pages are served over HTTPS with 256-bit TLS encryption. Card data is tokenized and never touches our servers. Access to customer records is restricted to trained staff on a need-to-know basis and protected by multi-factor authentication. We run regular vulnerability scans and keep audit logs.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant state authorities as required by law.

9. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites such as carrier tracking pages or social media. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
