Return & Refund Policy
14 days to change your mind. Free returns on anything damaged, defective or wrong.
1. Our 14-day promise
If something is not right, send it back. You have 14 calendar days from the delivery date to return most items for a full refund to your original payment method.
We pay for return shipping on any item that arrives damaged, defective or incorrect. For change-of-mind returns a flat $5.95 return label fee is deducted from your refund, or you may ship it back yourself with the carrier of your choice.
2. What can be returned
Items must be unused, in resalable condition and in their original packaging with all tags, manuals and accessories included.
| Category | Window | Condition required |
|---|---|---|
| Home Essentials | 14 days | Unused, original packaging |
| Fire Safety | 14 days | Seals intact, extinguisher gauge untouched |
| Electronic Gadgets | 14 days | All cables and inserts included; factory reset |
| Personal Care | 14 days | Unopened and sealed for hygiene reasons |
| Accessories | 14 days | Unworn, tags attached |
| Pets Care | 14 days | Unused and unwashed |
3. What cannot be returned
- Gift cards — non-returnable and non-refundable, except where state law requires cash redemption of small balances.
- Opened personal care items — for health and hygiene reasons, unless the item is defective.
- Discharged fire extinguishers or safety products with broken tamper seals, unless faulty.
- Final sale / clearance items — clearly labeled as such on the product page.
- Digital products once the code has been revealed or redeemed.
- Custom or personalized items, including engraved gift cards.
These exclusions do not apply where the item is defective, damaged in transit or not as described. Your rights under applicable state law are unaffected.
4. How to start a return
- Request an RMA. Email support@retailshopsale.com or use our contact form with your order number and the reason for the return.
- Wait for your RMA number and label. We reply within one business day with a Return Merchandise Authorization number and a prepaid USPS or UPS label where applicable.
- Pack it up. Use the original box if you can, write the RMA number clearly on the outside, and include the packing slip.
- Ship it within 14 days of receiving your RMA. Keep the tracking number until your refund lands.
Packages sent back without an RMA number may be delayed or refused, because our warehouse cannot match them to an order.
5. Refund timing and method
Once your return arrives we inspect it within 2 business days and issue the refund the same day it is approved. Your bank then takes:
| Payment method | Typical time to appear |
|---|---|
| Credit / debit card | 3–5 business days after we issue it |
| PayPal | 1–2 business days |
| Apple Pay / Google Pay | 3–5 business days |
| Store credit | Immediate |
| Gift card | Immediate, reissued as a new gift card |
Refunds include the price you paid plus sales tax. Original shipping charges are refunded only when the return is our fault. You will get an email the moment the refund is issued.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to exchange an item is to place a new order for what you want and return the original for a refund — that way you are not waiting on our warehouse. If you would prefer a straight swap for a different color or size, mention it in your RMA request and we will hold the replacement for you for 14 days.
7. Damaged, defective or wrong items
We are sorry — this should not happen. Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the item and packaging. We will send a replacement immediately at no cost, or refund you in full, whichever you prefer. You will not be asked to pay any return shipping.
For safety-critical products such as smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers, stop using the item at once and contact us before doing anything else.
8. Late or missing refunds
If more than 10 business days have passed since we emailed your refund confirmation and you still cannot see the money, first check with your bank or card issuer — pending transactions can mask a credit. If it is still missing, contact us with your order number and we will send you the processor's transaction reference so your bank can trace it.
9. Order cancellations
You can cancel any order that has not yet shipped. Email or call us within one hour of ordering for the best chance. Once a tracking number has been generated the order is with the carrier and must be handled as a standard return. Refusing delivery also works — the parcel comes back to us automatically and we refund on receipt, minus the return freight for change-of-mind cases.
10. Manufacturer warranties
Most electronics and safety products carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects; some carry longer. Warranty claims after our 30-day window are handled directly with the manufacturer, but our support team will help you open the claim and provide proof of purchase.
